★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beach has fossilized sandstone rock strata. Comprised of layer after layer of seashells. At least 12 million years old. The beach has strong waves. You can swim here under 1 metre. You need to be cautious, as it has holes, with strong rips and under currents. I have seen seals surfing amongst the waves on this beach. Generally, when you see seals, it is usually a is good sign for fishing.
Amberley rocks is at the Northern end of the beach.
There are paua and crayfish can be caught out from the rocks here.
