About That Place - Mountain Bike Park
Tom Oskam has always loved riding his bike and has always tried to find a way to do so. Tom has been lucky enough to experience some of the best mountain bike locations around the world. His passion for riding has led him down the path of trail building, mountain bike guiding and coaching. He enjoys connecting with people, especially when biking is involved! Tom has built trails since kindy and has 6 years experience in professional trail building here in New Zealand as well as in Canada and Australia.
Peter and Louise Oskam are not only Tom's mum and dad, but also sponsors of M&D Racing when Tom was riding competitively. Both are mountain bikers with previous business experience and are keen to be part of the fun that comes with being on the team of a mountain bike park in an extra special location!

β β β β β Absolutely fantastic weekend getaway and amazing hosts! The gas heated high pressure outdoor showers were awesome as all 5 of us had hot showers, as were the loos with views, lounge to chill out in, the kitchen, bbqs, ability to have a fire and gaze at the stars and camping overnight made even better as 3 of us could use the cabin, thank you so much for such an awesome experience and your hospitality Peter and Louise! And the tracks are brilliant, Bernie Sanders and Slamingtons are defo my fave, thanks Tom!!! Cant wait to get out there again guys, see you soon!

β β β β β Had a great afternoon riding the River Trail with my wife Shirley and her friend Angela. Followed by a relaxing cup of tea with Peter and Louise owners of That Place. To top it off we had a walk up to the top of the property and enjoyed magnificent views of the river valley. An afternoon well spend.

β β β β β My son and I visited That Place yesterday for a ride. My son didnβt have a bike so was able to rent one on site which was great. Tom has been busy building tracks on the site and there is a good variety here especially for beginners. Tom rode a lap with us and gave my son some tips on body position while riding. The setting is really beautiful and Iβll definitely go back if Iβm in the area again.

β β β β β What a fantastic spot! Tom and family were so friendly and welcoming! We canβt forget Flo the most beautiful little puppy. Sweet camping area, MTB trails were awesome and we even went down to the river for a dip! 100% recommend.. canβt wait to go back in the future! Cheers guys :)

β β β β β Me and six friends went to That Place not really knowing what to expect and boy are we happy that we went. We were welcomed with open arms by Tom and family, and their adorable little puppy Flo.
Awesome downhill tracks and really nice campground will all the facilities you need. Beautiful spot along the river for a swim after a few laps.
Would highly recommend to everybody, go check THAT PLACE out!!!

β β β β β When we arrived we were met with friendly faces, open arms and a coffee. The place itself is wicked and the trails are built to an incredibly high standard. I rode every track in the park more than once, well done! Amazing people with an amazing spot, will be back every time I go past. Thank you so much Tom and family <3
