★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing fun decor.Beautiful well cooked food and well priced.I had the pork belly which had a particularly good rhubarb relish.The steak was generously sized and came with heaps of veges.The chocolate dessert balanced with vanilla gelato and tangy berries was the perfect finish.I am absolutely going back when next in Wellington.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful food,bad service,rude staff. Ordered the pork belly and there was no meat just a lump of undercooked fat, and when asked for a refund they only did 30% off the meal. Calamari was soggy and bland and the desert was just some tasteless brownie,was first time coming here in over 6 years must say food has gone downhill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, friendly staff, we had the journos platter and was enough to eat for the three of us and all nice and tasty. My 3 stars represents that I’d never return, the lack of a premium draft lager meant there was no draft for me to drink and I don’t like hoppy beers and macs gold and Steinlager are not my cup of tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff good, beer cold, food? well, I ordered the fish and an entree. All good except the actual fish. Small, and I think it was one of those frozen Hoki pieces you buy in packs of three at the supermarket, Sealords being one. Not really good enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well on a cold Wellington night I would expected it to be a lot warmer inside, you know it's not just you when you see others putting their coats on during their meal. As for the food I would give it just an ok,I am sure there is plenty of other places around that are warmer and have nicer meals. My opinion only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really cool, home of the bank bencher tv show. Great deals to be had, I had an amazing burger and beer! Fun satire political dig at nz politics as well! A must visit if you are ever in Wellington

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service for a great iconic place. We went at 4.30pm Friday. Staff really didnt seem to be engaged in service. They gathered around bar talking. Food great but, plates and glasses left for 1 hour we moved them ourselves. Will never bother going back again when Wellington is full of experienced and caring staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very interesting pub, catering to the political folk that work around it and those that just want to pop in for a drink and a bite to eat. There is a history and take a walk around seeing the caricatures on display will definitely put a smile on your face. The citizens will understand. Well worth it.
