★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good bar, I would always stop in here if I was of to football game all a cricket game at the stadium. They have a great selection of beers and whiskey, good bar food. The staff are super friendly awesome service. I also back in the day when they had poker there on a Saturday would play there. But honestly people it’s really nice bar. Let’s be honest it’s had amazing work done on it. That’s if you used to goto this bar 15 years a go. It was old and run down .

The manager Stephen was incredibly helpful, and his excellent communication made it stress-free and simple to plan. On the night, our waitress Sky was a superstar and everyone had a wonderful time. I’d recommend to anyone wanting to book a lovely space, with a delicious menu and stellar staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely meal here with my family for my Dad's birthday. The meals were generous and tasty, for both meat eaters and vegetarians in the family. They showed a lot of care in the service and were also happy to welcome our dog in the enclosed courtyard - great to find a new dog-friendly place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome inner city bar and restaurant, a swag of atmosphere in the original building.
Historic photos adorn the walls and glass cut outs in the floor allow patrons to see the foundations from yesteryear.
But enough about the building. The staff are amazing, polite, prompt and helpful.
A great range of craft beers, cocktails and wines.
The chefs make outstanding meals at an affordable price.
If you're ever in Wellington make sure you spend time here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's our favourite bar in Wellington - lovely old pub that's been tastefully renovated. Great food and superb bar staff. Always have 2 or 3 interesting guest beers on tap. Very imaginative events programme - music, wine & beer tastings etc

The meals were huge and very tasty. Had the wine pairing with all our meals ....very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow a great lunch with a friend. Impressive menu and impeccably executed. My scallops with black pudding was lovely and the accompanying salad excellent. My friend chose the steak sandwich which also exceeded expectations and her chips with gravy were the best ever.
