The Blueberry Patch – Pick your own blueberries in Palmerston North - Theblueberrypatch.co.nz
In 2016, with the children grown up, we planned to make better use of the block by planting blueberries for the local Pick Your Own market. Today, we have two main types of blueberry, each with multiple varieties within themselves. This means berries ripen for a harvest that spans right across the summer season, from late November/early December to late March (weather and ripening-dependent). This ensures there is a steady supply of fresh berries – no need to stock-up all at once.
