★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great venue located handy to the Tongariro Crossing. Great kitchen and lounge area - ideal for groups. Rooms a little worn and not quite like the photos advertised on their website. Overall a great stay however.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful farmland hostel near the national park. Great community accommodations, huge kitchen area, nice clean rooms. Very nice Spa pool (hot tub) and friendly staff. They even have an 11 year old pig named Daisy that eats all the food scraps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really not a bad place to stay, the bedrooms themselves are pretty average with the beds not being too comfy, but similarly, not that bad, the room itself was pretty rundown, but the actual facilities it offers are great.
Reasonably big kitchen and plenty of seating and sofas to sit down and rest after a long hike.
They also have free milk and sun cream which really is a lovely idea and goes a long way.
There's also a games room and plenty of parking.
Really couldn't have asked for much more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely awesome place :-) Very friendly and helpful staff. Good kitchen & hot showers. A large relaxing room with plenty of things to do. And a cosy hot tub to soak after a day of skiing. Highly recommended :-) Close to petrol station with Foursquare & a cafe nearby for a nice apres-ski :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here with a group of 36 students (aged 16-17) and 3 teachers. We had the whole place to ourselves. Owners were very accommodating and friendly. Games room and Narnia movie room were awesome for our students with options of table tennis, TV/DVDs, board games, pool table, lounge area space. We paid for the package that included Food with the accommodation. This was very convenient as it allowed us to carry on with our research project. Food was yum and filling too. Rooms were warm. Bedding provided for the bunks. We were able to have all the females on one side of the lodge next to Games room and all the males on the other side next to dining room. The teachers got our own rooms and separate toilets and showers from the shared bathrooms for the rest of the group. Spa is also available here. We came in a very large Bus and we needed to get to a convenience store to buy some things, the owners were so helpful that they had offered to drive us to the 4 square down the road. Nice natural views around the entire accommodation. Lots of space too. Definitely coming back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ went Mid-October 2019, Very nice place especially the hangout room and free spa. a great place to be when it's not too busy if you prefer more peace and quiet, plus the snow is still great later in the season. Will definitely come again this year!

However the abusive staff member that shoved me and threatened to "fill the spa pool with my blood" was unnecessary. Handled a misunderstanding very poorly and almost ruined the weekend. Will be advising anyone who is thinking about here as a stay for Mardi gras to think otherwise

We had to cancel a booking due to covid last year, and when we tried to book in at another time (after many emails) we were unable to do so, simply due to lack of response. What kind of accomodation doesn't allow you to contact someone to manage bookings? Annoying!
