About The Dog House
At The Dog House we look after your dog as if they were our own (and we LOVE our dogs!).
The idea for The Dog House came about due to the lack of large indoor/outdoor day care and grooming facilities for Papamoa residents.
Susan and Dave both live in Papamoa East and decided something needed to be done about this. There are not many places in Papamoa that are suitable for such a facility but the old AutoSmart garage in Ashley Place was just ideal!
It has allowed The Dog House to be set up with separate small and big dog indoor areas and also a large outdoor area (accessible from both areas). There is also an upstairs viewing room so that clients can come in at any time of the day to see what their dogs are up to. We do hope clients are not too upset to see their dog having so much fun without them!
The former tyre bay is now the small dog area and the parts room has been converted into a grooming suite! What a change!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the Dog House - Gary makes new friends each visit, and comes home exhausted with a huge smile on his face (well, being a staffy he has an advantage with that...) Awesome socialisation with dogs he wouldn't normally meet on the street. Fantastic place for your pooch!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best doggy daycares we've been to and that includes America's. It was organized, all employees had walkie talkies, the large dogs were separated from the small. All the dogs got outside play time and several couches on which to relax. We even got to view our dog from upstairs! Would definitely use this place again.

Friendly staff who evidently love what they do and all the dogs the care for. The owner especially goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable about leaving your pooch in their hands.
The indoor spaces are wonderful - large, filled with items of interest for the dogs (even "naughty corners") and the separation between small and large dogs is great. Each group also gets there own turn at the outside area, weather permitting.
We are happily continuing our custom with The Dog House, our Doggy Daycare as we know it, and are certainly happy to recommend it.
