About The Wag-Club Dog Grooming and Doggy daycare Papamoa
Jozi has a deep love for dogs, and has been grooming professionally since 1994. Originally from Brazil, she moved to New Zealand in 2012, and found Mount Maunganui an awesome place to live with her twin girls and her beloved dog Laximi. She has also met her dear husband who was always very supportive and totally essential helping Jozi's dreams become today's reality.
Jozi has started working as a dog groomer in New Zealand soon after she arrived and after a few years founded The Wag - Club in 2017. She started grooming from her garage at Simpson Rd then moved 6 months later to a bigger place where now is the Papamoa Branch. As business was growing fast, she started expanding to a few more locations and now she has 3 other branches around the Tauranga area including The Lakes, Gate Pa and Mount Maunganui.
Jozi was one of the first groomers to achieve the INTERNATIONAL MASTER GROOMER CERTIFICATION in New Zealand which is the only one recognized worldwide. To ensure the best to her clients, she also makes sure that her team is well qualified and gentle with every pet and their owners. Having in mind that every dog is unique, her team recognizes his needs and providing a top service is their mission. Jozi not only looks after her clients, but her staff as well. She believes that a nice environment at her work place is key and making sure each groomer is happy is essential.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude customer service and below average grooming compared to other groomers in the mount and Papamoa as they aren’t very thorough with deshedding and trimming. My dog was picked up early from her last visit as the groomer said she wasn’t doing too well and the grooming room was far to hot for her which caused her to throw up.
