★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Greatest youth hostel I have ever been to. The staff was real nice. Bedroom was clean and had great natural light in the morning. The lounge had a warm fire on our arrival and was really cosy. Free toast and jam in the morning which is really handy. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice Hostel. The owners are so nice and they work very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is an excellent equipped kitchen and also the rooms have very good and clean beds. The toilets, the showers and everything else is very clean. There is also fast WiFi and a big information board with travel tips for Greymouth and the West Coast. I stayed here for four nights and I really enjoyed it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked the standard Queen room. Thoroughly enjoyed my stopover stay here. Cheap and cheerful.
-Comfy clean newly renovated room.
Building exterior may look a little shabby but I'm glad it's substance over appearance. There's even the convenience of a sink in the room. And a cute little air con/heat pump unit in the room. Shared bathrooms were clean too.
- friendly easy going chap who runs the place.
- free toast and spread breakfast. Well equipped large kitchen, dining area and game room.
- convenient location
- free parking at the rear (3 hour limit, no limit after 10pm)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I so much enjoyed my stay at the Duke Hostel in Greymouth.A lovely historic building.Glen and Daniel are wonderful hosts with a great knowledge of it's history.The rooms are bright and colourful, with kitchen , lounge and laundry amenities. A happy , friendly atmosphere, on the beautiful West Coast of New Zealand. I certainly recommend a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms were clean, plenty of space in the entertainment/kitchen area. Only problem for me was the heater seamed to be on a timer so it was quite chilly for a someone not from the NZ ☺️
