Peter Weir
Peter Weir (Technician) Started his apprenticeship as a engine machinist before making the transition to mechanical with a Ford dealership where he worked on a wide variety of vehicles. Then moving onto BMW where he gained valuable knowledge on the European brand for four years. During this time he has also become highly involved with Motorsport, as a competitor, organiser, an 'A' scrutineer and various other duties all involved in the sport.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The guys at Engine Room really know their stuff, especially when it comes to bimmers. They are pretty much the only place that I go to for my E36, be it about getting my WOF done, fixing and replacing some parts for my car or just any general service really. Been recommending this place to some of my friends who drives european cars, mostly bimmers, and yeah they also felt the same about Engine Room.
Thank you Richard and everyone at the engine room for taking a really good care of my car.

Richard works in well with us as customers, and I personally like the fact he is straight up with me. The Engine Room may not be the cheapest in town, but for me and my family, they are the best.

I think they did a good thorough inspection and gave an honest written summary with photos. The car was by no means in perfect condition but I purchased it anyway and 6-months later I’m still happy with it & convinced their inspection was accurate & honest. Definitely recommend if you need a mechanic in Palmerston North.
