★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needed a bit of sustenance prior to embarking on the walk to Cathedral Cove on 16 Aug 19. I and my touring companion selected the Authentic Kiwi Burger here at Hahei Ice Cream and Takeaways. We were absolutely amazed with what arrived. It was definitely an authentic Kiwi Burger, complete with egg, beetroot, pineapple and all the other trimmings. It was fantastic, as was the warm and friendly service. I can very highly recommend this establishment for its food and service. Outstanding!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place at all. $16 for the smallest piece of snapper ever...which I don’t even think should be allowed to be sold.
When taken back to ask about the size of what we had received, older lady behind the counter said snapper is expensive. Trying to justify the price doesn’t cut it. Eye rolls and rude behaviour doesn’t get very far in hospo or customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to cathedral cove and it was so sunny that day. We saw this small cute shop while coming back from cove. Then decided to go and have ice cream we saw people coming out with their huge cones. We ordered some fish n chips they filled the box with chips with just one piece of fish and ice cream cone was huge and tasty. We tried black forest, double chocolate and maple & walnut. The chocolate one was tasty. Staff was helpful. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little takeaway shop in Hahei, some items on the menu are expensive but its expected due to the location. We had the hot chicken wrap which was average but the Hamburgers we ordered were delicious, well worth the price! Significantly better than certain fast food chains, it's more gourmet than an ordinary burger. It's a decent size burger that was delicious, just what was needed after the long Cathedral Cove walk. I haven't tried their pizzas but the size of them is equavilent to a medium pizza one would buy from a large chain store.
