★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped here for lunch yesterday. The venue is superb. The snack/bar menu left a bit to be desired, the Dirty Nachos were on the dry side and the guacamole non existent, although on the plus side the sour cream and sweet thai chilli sauce were in separate containers. The salt and pepper squid was pretty sparse and the squid was a bit chewy, the salad greens were past their best. Conversely the goat cheese starter my mother had was very nice. Unfortunately I use Nachos as a benchmark for a place if they have them, anyone should be able to make a decent nachos.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great menu, superb venue and cheerful, obliging staff make the Lakehouse our favorite dining experience. Perfect for both large and small gatherings and the children's menu, for $15, allows us to regularly treat our grandchildren to an affordable dining experience. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager of the day was excellent. Went over and above to help us out. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Even the water and beer glasses were chilled. It's a pity some of our ChCh restaurants don't go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend this place ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If half stars were available the Lake House would get 3.5 but is not deserving of 4 stars unfortunately. Food was good but service was odd and portions small for the price paid.
We booked 5 people for the Smoke menu but when we got there were told there was very limited supply and would need to order from the standard menu.
Based on this experience, I will not return to the Lake House and would not recommended to anyone else unless disappointment is what they are looking for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely awesome place to entertain family, friends or that romantic meal with your partner, this restaurant Lake Hood Restaurant and Bar is the place for us and you. The service is top notch, friendly and professional. The surroundings are refined but casual at the same time. The quality of menu, the freshness and balance of flavours of the food is fantastic. A fantastic day/night venue, that we are pleased to call again and again. Thank you for an enjoyable relaxed evening with my family. Highly recommend to all.
