Modern, relaxed, spacious...
Perched on the outskirts of Te Rapa, the Lookout is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal or toast a special occasion.
With views 'looking out' toward the Hakarimata ranges, our balcony is the ideal place to take in the scenery or if you'd prefer a cosy spot indoors there are three seating areas to choose from, two with large flat-screen tv's for the sports fanatics.
For small get-together's and celebrations talk to us about The Terrace. We created this indoor/outdoor space so that it can be closed off from the main bar/restaurant. Better yet, it also houses its own bar and private entrance so that you and your guests can enjoy a more exclusive experience.
And what good would a bar be without a delicious food and drinks menu? Our tasty lunch, dinner and snacks menu's have something for everyone and are especially good washed down with our popular range of cold brews, wine and in-house beverages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place. Met my girlfriend here, hadn't seen her for ages. We both enjoyed our food & the service was excellent. They use a tablet for each of u to order. It goes straight to the kitchen, no misheard orders, u just have to order about the same time. Technology making things easier, love it. We still got to speak to wait staff so not at all impersonal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely meal we all had tonight. with covid times we had little tablets that sent our orders straight to the bar/ kitchen. very lovely for the socially awkward friends. I got the Bao Buns, super good, tender pork belly with a juicy slaw. parking was full and had to park down the road but i can see why. this place is never a let down. great place for the family but if you want a quick meal best to go at a less busy time of the day.

Instead you receive a tablet when seated to make your orders.
One maitre'd or host delivers your preferences. Hes there to answer questions and help.
This restaurant was busy with 90 tablets available.
GF or food preferences are there for each order and you can keep check on what you are spending on the tablet.
The meals were very generous and delicious. Will be going back.

Fresh fish and chips gourmet style and succulent pork belly skewers.
Full of bold flavors.

The e-menu’s are a cool concept and ensure your service is always ready when you are, without losing the warm personal interaction either the wait staff - nice balance achieved! Espresso martini a cheeky indulgence for lunch on last day of annual leave - divine ?? and hubby’s lemon lime & bitters was also worth a mention.
We shared garlic rolls accompanied with additional garlic butter for our own decadent slathering, a fresh nicely flavoured shrimp cocktail ? and a perfect open steak sandwich with crunchy fries and whole mushrooms. Sincerely enjoyed every sip and delicious mouthful. We share most of our café & restaurant orders including drinks, to maintain family harmony, eliminate food envy and be able to appreciate more flavours. Works well for us. The pricing was more than equitable for the quality and service. Thanks lookout staff. A+ and will be a favoured repeat. ???
