★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Lookout at Peel Forest is a hidden gem! From the first contact with Bec we knew we were in good hands. She provided us with fantastic suggestions on the logistics of our drive from Christchurch to Queenstown. We stopped for two nights at The Lookout and we were not disappointed! Geraldine is nearby and is a cute town to visit. The Lookout is beautiful, relaxing and comfortable. Pictures do not do it justice. The craftsmanship that went into building this cabin is evident and Sam put his heart into it. We were amazed to find out that many of the paintings in the cabin were painted by Bec. Clearly a couple with many talents. The welcome message on the fridge and the gift basket of local cheese, wine, fresh free-range eggs and chocolate was a beautiful touch that sets this cabin apart from the rest. Even though weather was a little unpredictable we felt warm and toasty when it was cold outside and comfortably cool when it was warm and sunny. We felt so happy to be at The Lookout that we invited Bec and Sam to join us for dinner. It was so much fun and one of our most memorable evenings in New Zealand! It's so nice to know that we now have new friends in New Zealand! Can't wait to return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a superb stay at The Lookout. Bec and Sam have done an incredible job in creating a unique, character-filled, cosy house, in what has obviously been a labour of love. The setting is beautiful: private, quiet and surrounded by birdsong. But what really set this stay apart was the care and attention from Bec, who did everything possible to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We'd go back in a heartbeat!
