The only place I will actually pay $7.50 for a pie! It's so worth it! My partner gets a mince and cheese pie and I always get the chicken and leek pie. It's so filling and every bite feel like heaven. Always the same and consistent. The coffee is also amazing. The only down side is location ... its a bit out of the way - but that won't stop me from eating here!

The pies, they are not cheap, but they are very large, and very good. I also like the XL coffee option. The sweet brioche, when toasted with butter, was one of the best in Auckland, but they have stopping doing it. I can't describe how disappointed I am, it was the reason I used to go here.

Pretty good steak, ale and cheese pie. 4 out of 5. Nice thin pastry and good quality filling. The issues that I have found are that pastry does not hold together that well and the filling is a tad strong on the herb aroma side. Would definitely come back to try their other pies and things.

While visiting Auckland for our Anniversary we googled best donuts in Auckland and we found great reviews about The Mustard Kitchen. After missing the turn off to Morningside Rd we eventually found the cafe. Super friendly staff and the donuts didn’t disappoint. We also had a pie which was delicious. And as we chatted to the lovely person who served us and telling him where we had come from we got a free sample of their famous caramel slice - heavenly. Thank you The Mustard Kitchen!

The best chicken and mushroom filo I've ever eaten.

This is not a bad spot to grab a quick lunch if you're on the go. The gyoza was not bad (pork and chives, by the way) , and the pies are pretty good. Would really love it if there were some more salad options. It's hard to get excited about, but I do like the stuff I get from here, especially if I'm just looking for a quick light lunch or bite.

This was a surprising find, it's more of a pass-by lunch bar than an actual sit in and dine eatery, but there's still some seating outside and some high chairs inside. The food are your casual pies and sandwiches sort of pick, but they're of really good quality. I got the steak and mushroom pie and they have actual chunky pieces of steak in them, with big slices of button mushrooms. They've also got a cute little garden area down the back with more seating. Would definitely come back .

Googled good pies in my area and this place came up. Bought a chicken and leek pie. The pastry is really good but the filling was bland and chicken overcooked. Couldn't taste leek at all. At $8.50 each I wouldn't buy from there again but have given three stars for excellent pie pastry.
