 If the weather is nice, you just have to stop here. River with sandbank eigerahmt of beautiful green. It's worth it to stay here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice DOC tracks. The old coach track along the river edge down to the Moa Hunter Middens. This is nice sand dune podocarp forest with Rata in. The possums track to the Tahakopa Bay Beach goes through temperate lowland podocarp forest and is often flooded. You can wander back along the beach and meet up with the old coach track to get back to the car park in a big loop.
