★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning location and really beautiful common area. Probably the best equipped kitchen I've seen in a while. Fresh eggs, produce and meat for sale from the owner is really nice.
Stayed in both on suite and private rooms with shared bath. The rooms and bathrooms are all brand new and really clean.
Would highly recommend this place for staying in/near Nelson if you have a car rental.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at The Pear Orchard Lodge this weekend. We highly recommend it. From the outside it looks like an amazing rustic farm house barn, but when you get inside it is fresh, clean and contemporary the styling is amazing very modern. The sheets and bedding smell so yummy and fresh too. We had a farm breakfast with home made produce and fresh baked bread from the night before. A deep bath in their awesome new bathroom. We could hear the rooster crow in the morning, but not too loud just nice enough to let you know you are in the country. Timo was fantastic showing us around and giving us a tour, friendly tame animals to feed, cows, sheep, chickens and also an awesome flock of geese, lots of birds too. Honestly the best place to stay for comfort and character.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have stayed at The Pear Orchard Lodge and we enjoyed every minute! The house itself is fresh, modern and very well equipped. We had a corner en-suite room with stunning views. We were able to make our own breakfast (fresh home made bread, free range eggs and fresh juice) in the morning, but you can also get meat and vegetables if you wish and everything is grown locally. The owner of the house is very friendly, helped us to arrange a tour to Abel Tasman park and gave many good tips for local restaurants and shops.
Would definitely stay there again and can recommend to anybody that want a quiet, clean and beautiful place to stay. It has a boutique hotel feeling, although it's down to earth and simple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time at Pear Orchard Lodge! Timo helped us book a tour and had great local recommendations. We loved the complimentary breakfast and freshly baked bread each morning. Best of all, the scenery was gorgeous! Would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at The Pear Orchard for our 3 day postgrad student writing retreat. The house was beautiful and comfortable, and the area around it was charming. A great getaway for our writing and discussions, and as PhD students who spend most our times locked up in our offices we were particularly appreciative of the change of location.
Timo was very welcoming and let us borrow some bikes for a scenic bike ride around the area.
Definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great accommodation in a beautiful environment. It is all very clean, well maintained and the rooms are lovingly furnished. Timo takes care of his guests. During my stay he has helped others book a tour in the Abel Tasman and has checked with others who wanted breakfast whether it should be freshly baked bread or muesli. Freshly picked pears were even free of charge. That my navigation system did not find it is probably the only shortcoming. But first of all not their fault and secondly it is signposted from the main road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such an amazing stay at The Pear Orchard Lodge at the end of March. We had the whole lodge to ourselves and it was absolute bliss. Our little boy (almost 3) loved the chickens and the big beautiful bath as well as the toys they provided. The owners were amazing and they provided some incredible fresh produce including amazing passionfruit and a wonderful breakfast spread. Such a lovely spot to get away from it all. We had an amazing two nights. Thank you Timmo and fam xx
