★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful quaint hotel ideally suited for exploring Fox Glacier or just as a stopover. Fantastic friendly staff and a place highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay and found the staff and food excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were initially booked into a different hotel across the road, but were "upgraded" to this one, the other one certainly looks nicer. My main issue was that there is no reason they couldn't have emailed us to notify us of this change, instead we were trying to find the reception at a closed hotel until we found the note in the window.
The hotel was clean and reasonably nice despite being quite old. At the restaurant it was quite hard to get the staffs attention at times. We were told that there is a wait for food as it's very busy, the restaurant was less than half full. Other than that, the food was good.
