★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely park for picnics and a driving break. Unfortunately it was raining today so could only semi shelter in the bandstand for lunch. Some sheltered seating would have been welcome. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful grassed park and playground at the confluence of the Waikato and Waipa Rivers, within Ngaruawahia. Lined with trees and at the start of the Te Awa cycle trail heading south to Hamilton.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is something very special about this place...I was drawn to the view of the mountains surrounding the point and drawn to the the actual point itself.. I felt there was a story to this point, a history very strong that meant so much to the people who lived here many centuries ago..I have gone back every day..very very peaceful and so much history...very captivating
