★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great day out. I wasn’t expecting to enjoy the boat ride so much. I was a real highlight actually. Not just a mode of transport. If you’ve never been up the harbour to Riverhead you really must. So beautiful meandering up there. And also getting a different perspective of the CBD was good to. The boat was delightful and the captain very welcoming. Highly recommend as a must a must do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my wife’s 60th birthday so for something different to celebrate with a group of friends we booked the Riverhead ferry to take us up to the Historic Riverhead Tavern restaurant.
The whole experience was just fantastic. The captain Holga and crew Zoe were just so welcoming and got into to spirit of our celebration.
The meal at the restaurant was delicious and the atmosphere great.
Then back on the ferry back to Westhaven.
Our friends just loved it and thought it was a great idea.
Highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an awesome day out on the Riverhead ferry cruise. Captain Holger and Harry were friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived. The whole trip was magical, gorgeous weather, beautiful scenery and the commentary was brilliant… especially the jokes! The boat was comfortable with outdoor areas to enjoy the sun, or indoor if too windy. Met some wonderful people on board to chat and laugh with. Being able to book our table at the Riverhead Tavern at the same time as booking the ferry was great, had a lovely lunch at The Landing then listened to some amazing live music at The Boathouse. Can definitely recommend the Riverhead Ferry for a great day out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience with wonderful attentive staff! Myself and 17 friends took the Riverhead ferry over to the Riverhead Inn for dinner to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday on Saturday 21st March.. just before lockdown began. We had the best experience and felt very safe ..extra measures were taken including a reduced service and readily available alcohol gel in light of the circumstances. This did not dampen the experience however. The views on both the journey there and back were beautiful and the staff bent over backwards to assist us, including dimming the lights and putting on fairy lights for the night cruise back and also allowing us to play our own music through the speakers. We couldn’t have had a more perfect evening, thank you very much. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We privately booked the Riverhead Ferry up to the Riverhead Tavern on Saturday with 40 of our friends for an early Christmas get together and it was incredible — such a fun day/evening out! The indoor/outdoor flow of the boat was perfect, allowing some of us to enjoy the views and fresh air up the front, and others to dance the afternoon and night away inside by the bar. Holger and staff were so accommodating and made the trip very memorable! We left Auckland at 4.30 pm and arrived at the tavern at 6 pm. All of us were saying how we had never been to that part of Auckland before and how cool it was to experience the riverside bar. On the way home on the boat, the sun was going down, the fairy lights came on, and we cruised under the harbour bridge that had a light show! 100% recommend privately hiring the Riverhead Ferry for a party. It is epic!
