★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel has been recently renovated and it is really in great condition. Hope both the next visitors and the management keep it on as well as it looks right now. It has really cozy rooms with comfy pillows and beds, morning gowns, clean bathroom with toiletries provided, really organised kitchen with cookies, tea/coffee, fruits, juice and milk to prepare your breakfast. The people who run it are very caring, respectful and discreet. Great experience and recommended! -Couple from Europe-

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved staying at The Sanctuary! Beautiful home with lovely view from the bedroom windows every morning & night ? So peaceful with birds and sounds. Close to Supermarket, City Centre, Caroline Bay & everything else (10min walk, 2mins Car).
Lovely Host & Staff - very hospitable & chatty if you feel like it ? But will leave you be if that's your preference.
Brilliant water pressure, Lovely clean Shower, Toilet & Laundry facility. Aside from a few small things that could be improved, I would definitely recommend & stay again ?
*Definitely not Soundproof Room at all as stated ????
*Probably unlucky timing for me but bedroom floor/carpet rug & under bed NOT vacuumed after last guest (Banana skin, orange peels, ear buds, long black bunches of hair, socks & other miscellaneous items left by previous guest)
*Alot of cobwebs, No coat hangers & a Milk thief ? so rude! (we bought our own Milk n groceries)
*Parking situation out back is difficult to navigate if more than 2 car parks occupied - due to branches needing trimmed (another car or 2 ended up with broken back windscreen, side window & tail lights). Also told not allowed to park out front because lady complains to council, even though she has a garage, it's a public road & the rules at the sanctuary door said to park on street if coming & going during day but move cars in at night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning and homely BnB, with a lovely friendly owner. The beds are extremely comfortable with luxurious bedding. Great shower pressure, even the toilet paper was luxurious. Free wifi, continental breakfast and spa use. Dog friendly, with a fenced section out back.This place ticks all boxs and is exceptional value for money. We will definitely be staying again the next time we are in Timaru.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please don't go with the previous reviews..there is no beach even though the name says beach side. Host refuses to acknowledge bookings and does not return calls even though voice messages are left. Host has a couldn't careless attitude. Never bothered to greet us laid on his couch and spoke. Property had a depressing atmosphere.. Cancelled our two paid days without a refund it was that BAD.P
