β β β β β Astonishingly slow service delivered a very average meal. Luckily the guests are friendly. The payment systems seem to either be cash or grunting. So if you go be prepared for a long wait to be served and take cash.

β β β β β Unfriendly bordering on rude bar staff who obviously don't own the business. They turned off the rugby that our group of 8 were watching to discourage us from staying on a Friday night and closed the bar. When asked about putting it back on she snapped "no..it's finished". I have no problem with them wanting to close up but surely someone who is in hospitality should know how approach the customers and politely explain that it was closing time.

β β β β β Disappointing , two steak meals both medium . One arrived very Medium rare and one over medium , likely as it was thinner . Small chip container on plate miserably half full , chips soft also . Nice salad . $45 not at all good value. Won't return that's for sure . Hey and ya cook sitting on the steps behind your restaurant smoking in his chefs clothes , very average to say the least.

β β β β β The quality was of an average pub, but the portion size is small and the price high, mimicking a fancy place. We were underwhelmed. Service was also lacking. Ambience is good.

β β β β β Went here for dinner and the rugby test (ABS vs Aus). Beautiful fish and chips with a nice salad followed by good coffee......friendly helpful staff.
Great atmosphere.....highly recommend.

β β β β β Wait staff were friendly. As per previous review, beer selection didn't excite us. The mains were expensive and disappointingly small which is the main reason for low rating along with an uninspiring menu - was really hoping to get some lamb. Salad and vegetarian options also near extinct. The ribs were tasty but looked tiny on the huge plate and there were not many wedges included so didn't feel that substantial. The half portion of fried chicken really was tiny with only 2 quarter pieces of potato and a tiny slaw. Really feels more like a pub with restaurant prices. Has the potential to be really nice and the menu has certainly been better in past. The downstairs has lost ambience since the eating booths have been removed. Wouldn't recommend unless some fresh energy went into the food and decor.

β β β β β It's typical provincial town pub food. I think claiming to be a restaurant is probably pushing it a little. However, the food was nice. There was no mustard to have with my steak, but the chef procured some, which I appreciated enormously. I would have given 5 stars but for the poor beer selection, which only comprised of lager and fake-ales. Having a couple of real ales on tap would have been nice, such as Kilkenny or better still, Sprig and Fern IPA.
