★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best pie I've ever had!!!
The filling is NOT a cornstarchy goo, like many other places including Rays Pies and Kapiti Bakery. I especially love the Chicken pie which has the most creamy delicious filling with tons of chicken and seasoned to perfection.
The white chocolate cranberry cookies need some help, I couldn't find any white chocolate in them but the cookie itself was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drove all the way here from levin, cause it says its open today. However, when we arrived (12 midday) it is closed. ??? seriously gutted, as their food and coffee is the best!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waiting for my son after school, I bought two steak and cheese pies. I left one on the back seat for him and I had mine absorbing the calm on Margaret Road. Oh my gosh - that is a good pie. The sheer joy when my son bit into his pie. Lovely way to round off a week. The Village Baker never disappoints.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The prices have risen yet their quality has slumped. Used to be the best bakery on the coast. Now not so much. Avoid the mince pies. Flavourless. Sweet slices are quite small for their price and quality. Was a very disappointing visit overall.
