J	John Mac on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a lovely stay at the Wakefield Hotel while biking the Great Taste Trail. Our room was light, bright and spotlessly clean. Staff were very welcoming. Nice to have secure bike storage. Pub meal was excellent!
S	Sali Crocker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 of us arrived at 6.30pm as booked, 2 more arrived 10 mins late. We ordered straight away. 6.45 maybe. At 7.35 a waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We said we hadn't had our mains yet. She went into the 2 cooks, one with longish hair uncovered, they discussed and started organizing our meal. We could see thru the window. Our meal at 8pm all 5. Both steaks over cooked. The steak in the burger was dry and not really nice. My husband mentioned we were not happy and that the young waitress needed training as her manner was not professional. Country pub or not a confident, pleasant manner is essential. We realised they were busy but this was not a pleasant outing. We are regular customers but probably not again.
J	Jan Gardiner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great place to stay. Group of 6 riding The Tasman Great Taste Trail. We arrived a bit early for check in but it wasn't a problem. Donna got us sorted out in no time at all. We had a secure shed to lock our bikes up and charge the batteries. The entire staff were so friendly and the evening meals in the restaurant was so good. A continental breakfast was included in our room rate. It is well worth staying here. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Donna and Team . You made our stay enjoyable.
D	Deb Wattes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had pizza on specials night. Meat lovers, was devine. My only criticism is it needed more mushrooms to cut through the salty processed salamis, hams etc.. I will be back though. Red Wine selection was a little thin, but it's a difficult one to manage.
i	iNVASIVE Sports Team on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to visit, friendly people around and it's got the country feel with a nice outdoor area with grass to lie down if you've had too much or simply need a rest, come stretch your legs out on a trip through to picton or the other way. Theres also accommodation if there's enough space so double check a booking if needed. Music venue's are occasional so keep your eyes/ears peeled!
