Bought a comprehensive service thru GrabOne & went there. They DID NOT comply with what was on the deal. They DID NOT even change the filter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ BEWARE, COMPLETE RIP-OFF, GRAB ONE VOUCHER IS TO ATTRACT YOU - DO NOT GO THERE!! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!!
I bought a $120 Grabone aircon gas refill voucher, but had to pay more because of the hidden costs!! They'll recommend all sort of unnecessary stuff to get more money out of you!! I hope no one gets into the same issue as me!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did a good job with brake pad replacement but brought a coupon on grabone for $129 for both front & rear brake pads plus fitting. Dropped my vehicle off to them got a call an hour later saying there's extra $70 for the brake pads. So pretty much the $129 is for labour

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought the Grab One voucher of $69 for service which included 4 litres of 5w30 oil change as well. When I called the store, the person there named Rahul told me that my car needs special oil which will be extra $30. Itbwas a bit weird because I always put 10w40 or 5w30 in my car. I could understand that its just for earning extra money. I paid $30 extra but still they have put 5w30. This is purely cheating and I would never recommend anyone to get their car serviced here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cliche untrustworthy mechanics. Bought a grab one voucher ($69) and was told it would be an extra $70 as my vehicle takes a special cartridge oil filter and over 5L of a special oil that would usually cost $90+ at the shops. Upon pick up I paid the $70 but didn’t feel right so did my research online as well as speaking to mechanics and repco. My vehicle only takes 4.2L of oil and takes a normal spin on oil filter not a cartridge one. Spoke to manager Rahul who gave me some money back but no explanation for the misleading (lying) to top it of my LOL moment is when he pointed to the window washing liquid and said “ that was empty so I topped it up with cleaning fluid”, I was like eerrm I topped it up with cleaning fluid 30mins before dropping of the vehicle here…..
This garage uses coupons to lure you in and charge you extra based on their lies. Felt stink for the actual mechanic though as it was obvious that he only says and charges what the boss tells him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately very disheartening experience when I took my car for WOF and servicing using their Grabone coupon but ended up paying extra cost for service. Wof was not done as they gave me a list of faults suggested to be fixed first worth $250. I got the wof done from other mechanic the same day in $70 only from otahuhu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually I just moved in Auckland but my car I bought from someone and i went to garage, I approached. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles there, kind and knew just what I wanted based on my interests. I walked out happily and appreciate the great customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very suspicious business activity going on here. I took my car in to investigate a rough running and mistiming engine. Was advised that the spark plugs needed changing, a new air flow sensor and a new radiator was required. After picking up my car and paying $1200 the car was still running extremely rough ( I also notice the new air flow sensor was sitting in its box on the back seat of the car!). They advised the car would be sent to GEM automotive (which do their 'bigger jobs). I was advised that there were major issues and I was presented with a $3600 quote to fix. I then had the car assessed at another mechanic who noted the plugs had not been changed, and after he changed them for $120 the car worked perfectly. He undertook some diagnostic which showed there was nothing wrong with the valve timing. This is incredible suspicious and would appear misleading and fraudulent. I see other similar stories in their review, using the words scam, dishonest and fraud. I have not been provided a fair explanation. I would under no circumstance recommend or use this outfit again BEWARE. I am taking this further.
The owner of Tiverton Rd Automotive has responded below and has not provided me with an explanation at all. My car has had an independent mechanic test the vehicle simple to change the plugs and have the car work perfectly.
I am not taking my car back to you again as I simple do not trust your service. Seriously why would I?
