About TOLBECS Ear Centre Limited
In May 2001 our founder and director, Theresa O’Leary, opened what was then known as the ‘Ear Centre’. She worked two days a week from a rented room in Hamilton East, providing an alternate and safer method for ear cleaning – microsuction.
Theresa’s extensive background in community nursing alongside her passion for ears and helping people, led her to develop 6-month in-house training programme on the speciality of ears. With this she was able to expand her team to meet the demand of her growing clientele.
By June 2005 she rebranded overnight to ‘TOLBECS Ear Centre’ and later settled into our current, more fit for purpose building at 74 Naylor St.
Since then, TOLBECS has tripled its capacity to see people and is able to offer urgent appointments every day for those with acute ear troubles, continually striving to deliver quality ear care to the community.

Procedures were explained clearly, they were gentle yet thorough, and I highly recommend Tolbecs to anyone who needs help with their ears. Added bonus was the friendly ginger cat waiting for me outside. The cat gets 5/5 too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely disappointed that after several years of using this service, this private health care clinic has personally chosen to neglect the health and well-being of their patients based on their vaccination statues, not a rule set by law and mandatory but being a private service, they have decided themselves. Tui medical center do the same service yet they don’t neglect, refuse a medical service, or discriminate against anyone. Anyone who stands for the freedom for the country I hope you stand against this and consider Tui medical center so that businesses with the mentality to refuse medical care based on different personal statuses learn to be more considerate and understanding.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just called the Tolbecs Ear Centre for a appointment for my husband who has been a client going back many years along with one of our son's. He is very disappointed that he is being discriminated against for being Vax Free. Thank goodness of Tui Medical centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Medical Treatment should never be withheld from ANYONE. I'm thoroughly disappointed to see that TOLBECs have made the choice to discriminate. I have always recommended TOLBECs, never again. If anyone else is looking for an Ear Clinic be sure to see Tui Medical who are not denying services. Even when this "pandemic" is over TOLBECs will no longer receive my custom and I'll be sure to let everyone else know too.

Went to Tolbecs after I had lost hearing in one ear and to be honest was quite nervous about the experience as I had never had my ears professionally cleaned. The staff were super friendly and more then happy to explain all I needed to know.
The procedure was quick and painless and my hearing has never been better!
Thank you so much Tolbecs and I'll be back again in the future!
