Lead mechanic and owner Brett has been in the industry as a mechanic for over 38 Years. Brett manages a team of 9 staff members who are all qualified experts in their trades.

β β β β β Bet service ever, sorted out my broken down car easily and dealt with all the warranty stuff for me, I barely had to do anything except pick up my fixed car, couldnt reccomend them more

β β β β β Was very quick service but I'd left a factory recall notice under the sun visor for them and along with relevant papers re service they also removed other papers of a personal nature and lost them. How they confused the items I don't know. I did after all explain where they were.

β β β β β Just went there to get a quote for a very simple task. An unfriendly guy with full of snacks in his mouth responded "just over $100"....went to another garage very close to here, I was greeted by a friendly guy with smile. He said it should cost between $15-$20. You now know where to go ;)

β β β β β Deceiver and liar!!!! Unfriendly!!!! Don't go there!!!! They ripped us off. We had to pay 700 $ for just "cleaning a sensor" . When we came back because the problems came back after cleaning, they were really unfriendly and said we have to pay more than the last time because they have to order a new part for the car and we should let our car there for one week... Again!!! We stopped at this point because we got a bad feeling and my partner started to have a look on the internet what could be the problem.... And he has found it and fixed the problem himself for just 40$!!!!
Such bad people!!!!!

β β β β β What an interesting and shocking experience I have had . I booked my Toyota Corolla in for a 100'000km service (2 weeks in advance so plenty of notice). At the time I asked what needed doing at 100'000km, on top of a normal service. They couldn't tell me but assured me I would get a phone call on the day advising me of the work required. Last Friday 8am I dropped my car off and asked the question again. Couldn't tell me but promised me a phone call, as well as a phone call when the car was finished (I needed it for work by midday). At 10.30 I hadn't heard so phoned Top Gear to be told they had to look it up in the book (This is a Toyota Service agent???). After much shuffling of paper I got an answer and said great, please call me when it is done. No phone call by midday so my husband drove me over, the car was sitting outside and I was told it was all completed. Then the mechanic proceeded to tell me that it also needs a transmission service to which I asked why didn't you do it? He said it was a question of cost and he didn't want me to get an invoice for $ 1000.00. Never in the conversations beforehand did I question costs and would have been very happy to pay for this service if it meant I didn't have to be without my car again. Anyhow I was so astounded and taken back by their lack of customer service, interest in business or lack of interest in me as a customer that I just drove home. I then phoned a couple of places in Cambridge who are more than happy to carry out this transmission service for me and also told me that 2 hours would be all that's required (why couldn't it be done in the 4 hours that Top Gear had the car?). I have booked the car in somewhere else where they are happy to give me service and I am happy to pay them for the work. To top it off I got the invoice today and on it it says that a 10'000km service was carried out????? Needless to say I shall never return to Top Gear and have already told several friends in Cambridge about my experience. Very sad that local businesses don't care about customers. In the end it is their loss.

β β β β β Thank you for the excellent customer service I received yesterday from Top Gear. A HOUSE CALL to help a damsel in distress and then in no time at all my very very dead car was towed in by the big boss himself and a loan car organised so that I could get to work on time. I called this morning for an update and was advised by the AWESOME receptionist that the work on my wee car was done but they will keep it for a while longer just to make sure the same problem doesn't happen again.

β β β β β The service i received at Top Gear Motors was absolutely appalling. I was quoted $400 for an oil seal replacement, when i went to pick the car I was given a bill for $1150. There had been no phone call to inform me that the bill would be higher than first anticipated or to ask whether I was happy to go ahead with the job considering the price had changed. If i had been asked I would have said not to go ahead with it because quite obviously my little starlet is really not worth spending that much money on considering what its worth. When I rang the manager the following day to discuss this issue he was extremely rude and got very very worked up on the phone to the point that I couldn't get any sense out of him so had to resort to emailing him. They also charged me $50 a day for a loan car which apparently after ringing around a few other companies is quite unusual and most places offer loan cars free of charge. I have never come across such poor customer service so I would definitely not recommend Top Gear Motors to anyone.

β β β β β My car was booked in for a full groom - i dropped it off at 8am was delivered to work by the most pleasant young lady, my car was delivered back to me in the afternoon - and well WOW it is like a brand new car. I certainly will never bother cleaning my car again! Excellent service and brilliant job.
