★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to give this place a zero but that's not an option, so I give them a 1 star, we had possibly the worst nights sleep sat night after a long drive and getting my son in am, professional working couple from chch. We arrived and checked in and during the night around 0230 am the noise started with someone yelling Gary over and over, my partner spoke to night manager and was told she would deal with the noises, but didn't, so we tried going back to sleep and started again, well this is where it gets weird because after complaining again she told us it was us Making all the noise and keep it down, we where trying to sleep at this point it's past 0300 and I put my ear pods in but my partner forgot his and yet again complained to manager but was told I will need to check your room for noise my partner says that I'm asleep and that's a little rude. When why would we complain about noise if was us... anyway turns out the manager was sitting with the people that was Making all the noise yet blaming us. Was ridiculous and have never been so frustrated by a hotel. The am comes and we check out early, the manager makes a statement at the reception that he will refund the cost of room out of good faith when hello wasn't us making noise it was the manager and other residents drinking and making all the noise. Will not stay again though they black listed us from the experience which is crazy because we where trying to sleep before getting my 10yr old and driving back to chch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trailways is fantastic. Great location only 5 mins maximum from most parts of town and its quieter being that it's not right in the middle of town. The Pool is well located to get some good sun for alot of the day. The parking is quite expensive at $15 a night however it's the only down side of the property.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Four of us had an amazing dinner at Trailways Hotel. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and servings very generous served by an efficient and friendly waitress. Actually, all the staff were really friendly. We had seafood chowder, Ginger and Chicken dumplings, Scallop and Prawn tortellini, Lamb and Steak for main and Apple doughnut and Brulee for dessert. We shared dessert because we were so full from entree and main. The outside eating area is a fantastic spot for a drink or to have your meal. A real gem in Nelson.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived after an exhausting 18 hour trip. Reception were efficient and very friendly .. even when I go lost trying to find my room.
Rooms immaculate, good facilities, and nice size.
Breakfast excellent.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I booked on the day. From the minute the lady answered the phone till the minute we left the staff were so lovely! The room was amazing! The kitchen equipment was everything you'd need. Then the resturant was also 5star!! Whoever made up that menu needs to be knighted! Loved every minute of the whole experience! Will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice comfortable hotel. Restaurant has good and fairly reasonable breakfast options, and a good happy hour.
Only downside for me- we had a non river side room which had a very small double bed (comfortable enough, just too small). Our family had a river side room that was much more roomy with a much better bed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, no real “wow” factor though. Walls are paper thin, can hear the tv’s in the other rooms and also if someone is talking outside, I did have to call reception about that as I couldn’t sleep. It was sorted very quickly.
Overall it was a good stay, met our needs, but obviously had some downs to it too. We may consider staying again, given that the soundproofing in the rooms is a bit better. Overall enjoyable.
