★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy going down but a slog coming back up track. Medium fitness and watch rocks when you come out of the tunnel. Great views worth the effort?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful South Dunedin coastline with some interesting history. From the carpark it's quite a steep descent and a good climb back up, so not for everyone. Well worth the effort.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good fitness level needed for the steep incline walk. Great views of sea eaten sandstone cliffs. Tunnel was dug out of the cliff for the Cargill family to have her own private beach in the 1870s. On low tide it's possible to explore a cave and rock hop to different areas of the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for majestic views and to connect with nature, this is the place. A short (but steep!) walk down the track brings you to an incredible spot. Be careful though, as the many signs will tell you, it's a long and dangerous drop. When I was there the waves were quite large and the crashing on the rocks was quite the sight to see. Definitely recommend visiting here if you're in Dunedin.
