a great experience with your wonderful information on the surrounding area.
Being able to park our self contained motor home in your complex was so convenient for us and so central to the Twin Coast Bike trail, supermarket and town.

β β β β β Thankyou very much for accommodating my request in offering us another room, my baby & I had such a awesome sleep & felt very comfortable over the weekend. The shower was awesome & bathroom was very modern as well as the room. Could be handy in putting a phone in the room as some people may not have a cellphone to contact emergency if needed too. Definitely be back.

β β β β β What a great place. Says backpackers, but it's pretty nice in the rooms. The guy Shane who runs it is a great host. He welcomed us in to watch the world cup on the huge TV. Had the whole family, no hassles. Even last minute. Cheers by the way!!

β β β β β A great kiwi operation. I stayed on site in my RV...safe,secure and quiet.
Carl really made our stay special...I asked for so many bits and pieces ( probably too many ?)
but Carl was so helpful and sorted everything. Carl also gave AMAZING comments/ commentary whilst couriering us back to Kaikohe base.

β β β β β This is a great place to be based for the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. Staff here are friendly & helpful. Their bikes were very comfortable. Being in Kaikohe, rather than at either end, meant we could leave our gear there both nights and not have to pack up each morning. Carl & John shuttled us back at the end of each day. Kaikohe is a high point on the track, so both days we were mostly cycling down hill!!! Our direction of travel was chosen based on the weather & wind. It's a beautiful track and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The actual hotel has pretty gardens and is an easy walk into town. The accommodation has all we needed, it's not flash, but it doesn't need to be. It's clean & tidy.

β β β β β Great service from John who provided a shuttle for us for two days. At short notice he drove us to Horeke with our bikes and collected us from Kawakawa on the second day. He made the one way bike riding simple and gave us some interesting background to the area. Polite, friendly and efficient. Would use this company again. very easy to work with. Always answered my phonecall.

β β β β β Rented a bike from Karl and got picked up at Horeke. Easy to deal with, very knowledgeable and best price of the companies operating. Highly recommend this company, bikes are excellent, cold water appreciated, and communication. Riding the trail is a must for those who love the outdoors.
