He was really helpful and gave us lots of local information. The ebike I hired was a good quality brand easy to use. Very happy to recommend Top Trail

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just finished doing the coast to coast and have really enjoyed the two experiences. I say two because that's how it turned out. We stayed at Okaihau Rail stay and rode downhill to Kawakawa with a transfer back to Okaihau. The trail used the old rail easement so all gradients were very moderate. The 2nd day it was off to the mission house on the Hokianga. Again it was pretty much all down hill, but more of a BMX track especially cut out for the trail. Younger kids will really enjoy the ride, it's what bikes are about. The transfer back to Okaihau was very informative.
PS initially we were told the trail was closed by the store at Opua . It was closed between Opua and Kawakawa only while repairs are made to the track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and the mrs did the Kaikohe to Horeke ride. The ride was beautiful. Tipene sorted our bikes and he was the man. Sorted our bikes, gave us notable spots to stop at, and was crack up. We caught the shuttle too and we were picked up by Rob. He gave us a really interesting impromptu guide on the area's history. Cool ride and good people

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really great people. Very helpful and informative. The guy with da dreads giving us the run down on site was a total crack up... We love the whlle package. Highly recommend the total package... New Zealand truly is a beautiful place.
E bikes are great and it is probably a difficulty of 3 on the effort required to complete the West Coast 58km section of the course. Definately need to take cash with you if you want (and you will definately need) refreshments along the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend going with these guys for bike hire and shuttle. We did a 1 day ride from Kaikohe to Horeke on ebikes. The bikes were great quality. We got the shuttle back from Horeke back to Kaikohe at 3pm. It was on time and a great service. We were lucky to have great weather too. Definitely worth it! We had a great time.
