Absolutely delicious! We ordered the beef roti canai and the mee goreng and both of them were beautiful. Reasonably priced, generous portion and relatively fast, friendly service. The mee goreng is my fav, so flavourful and full of textures. Would definitely go back??

I've been coming to Uncleman K'rd for a couple of years now since the day they first opened. Majority of the dishes are good. However, they start to lack with how they operate and sell their takeaways. The other day I ordered mee goreng, there was no chicken or even a single prawn. When I look at the price I bought for $14.50. I think to myself, ok Malaysian to another Malaysian "mesti dia lupa nak letak prawn atau ayam". It's ok, I let it go, it's a simple mistake. Level 3 lockdown, instead of eating Fish and Chips for lunch. I should visit Uncle Man on K'rd. Come on, we should support other Malaysians during the pandemic right? I ordered my whole family, 6 dishes for a takeaway, costing around $94. I came in, takeaway already done, food is in 2 bags on the table ready to pick up. When I get home, I ordered soto ayam. I opened my pack and was disappointed at how small the portion size is?!?!! The size of the nasi impit looks similar to the size of a 10 cent. Guess what? The price gone up a dollar to $15.50 for what it looks like to be a kids size meal. Plus there is no chicken. You guys should just change the name to "Soto Takder Ayam". My advice to the owners, instead of opening other branches around Auckland. Try to focus on customers food, and their takeaways service. I recommend to any Malaysians out there to stay away from this restaurant. Not worth the value. There are plenty of Malaysian restaurants out there you can try. My recommendations would be Mamak in Takapuna, Sri Pinang on K'rd, Santhiya Restaurant on Dominion Rd, or even Pappa Rich restaurants. Their portion size fills you up, worth your money, plus its halal. I will add some photos to show to the customers what I got when I ordered Soto Ayam.

This was my first visit ever. A friend had been raving about this place so gave it a whirl with my friend for lunch during the week. I had the beef randang and enjoyed it. Let's see how they go on my second visit. Who knows - it could my new favourite place for Malaysian cuisine! It gets very loud because they're so popular so don't expect a quiet setting. I've also had the mee goreng and chicken curry and out of the two the chicken curry is what I would order again.

One of favourites to go to. Good value for money with generous portions. Their roti is really nice - the kids love the cheese roti and egg roti. Their briyani is yum too.

Average Malaysian Food but authentic. Rice and noodles are massive in portion size but mainly carbohydrates if not choosing meals with obvious meat pieces. They should have significantly less carbohydrates and more vegetables and protein in the dish. For example, my Mee Goreng only have 3 pieces of prawns with a few greens.

Came here after a long time wanting to try. We had the char kuey teow and nasi lemak with petal sambal prawn. Dessert was the roti tissue with condensed milk. The kuey teow was nicely spicy as we wanted hot, the flavour is nice but strong and for me was too flavour fatigue. The nasi lemak was very flavourful also. The sides was tasty but I feel the rice was not coconutty enough or sticky enough. The roti tissue was my first time trying. It was very crispy, coated with sugar and dipped into condensed milk, fun hut messy. Overall price and portion was very good. Tasty and authentic Malaysian style dish. Would come back definitely to try other dishes. Updating this review - stomach did not feel good afterwards because of all the spices. So flavour is a bit overpowering here and could do better if tones down a bit.

This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a very long time. The food was absolutely delicious. Authentic, exactly the flavor we’d get in Malaysia. The staff was super friendly, and accommodating. They were easily approachable and were so kind. We need more of this type of hospitality in New Zealand restaurants. I only took one pic of the food we’d ordered since we’d already eaten half and only then I remembered to take pics. Highly recommended β™₯️
