★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner had an appointment booked with them during COVID level 3 to renew her American passport. They confirmed everything- my partner drived down for her appointment (mind you, it was a long drive from deep South Auckland). She got there where she was told at the door that they can't see anyone during this lockdown? With no phone call to notify her, NO NOTHING. When she asked POLITELY as to why she wasn't told- she got a spicy response saying she should have known? REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The United States Consulate General is located here. I have been up there for employment purposes. They are extremely strict in initiating contact of their own kind, when it comes to appointment face-to-face based settings. Do not abrupt when after entering inside, considering the weaponry ability and capability's stake are high.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The United States of America’s Consulate which is located at Customs Street East Auckland Central in considered the most powerful diplomatic related high level governmental building. They are highly protected and secured to any levels of national and international affairs and immigration things. We need clearance in advanced before entering the building. They have advanced level weaponry systems to protect their systems from vulnerabilities. Please follow Custom procedural instructions to access.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They think they're above everyone else just because they're Americans or working for the Americans??♀️ if you have to go there more than once you will walk away naked and they'll strip you off of everything especially your dignity as a human being. BAD or must I say the WORST customer service experience ever!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would have to be the lamest consulate around. Asked for clarification on immigration policy as the information online contradicts itself and was told they couldn’t help. Pretty rude responses too after being very polite. They seem to like hiding behind the corporate name and ended up signing off the emails with a letter not a name.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The immigration visa department broke my family apart and my life. All my families are US citizens. I wasn’t able to return within a year during Covid and completing the study. I quit job, sold all assets in NZ to return to US. Family breaker. Now I can’t live with my father until at least he is 80. Sad and heart breaking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the worst service I've ever received from any government agency, in any country, ever. I have a hard time imagining how it could have been less caring, less compassionate, or more righteously indignant. Of course, nobody does things with them because they want to, and keeping all the people working there nameless ensures there is no ramifications for the terrible service experience. In fairness I suspect it's a management issue because of the management cared at all it would be extremely easy to go from being add horrible as it is, to excellent, but it won't happen on it's own.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible and extremely frustrating experience with the non-immigrant visa processing service with delays and zero communication. Echoing what many of the reviews mention, it is hard enough navigating the phone line auto-menu to speak to a human, and they never offer any useful information regarding visa processing status. I understand if there is a delay due to COVID, but this delay should at the very least be communicated. Instead of stating it takes 5-7 days on the website, everyone should know that it's more than 5-7 weeks. We can't put our lives on hold while receiving no information.
