β β β β β My friend had a wedding at Linden Estate and the reception was held at the restaurant. The restaurant was fairly large but was most likely re-organised for the wedding. It had quite a few parks outside and there was also an outdoor area overlooking the vines out front.
We had pre-ordered the food. The portions were actually quite large. The entree was a bowl of mushroom risotto while my main was a whole block of grilled halloumi. The flavour and consistency of the risotto were alright but there were a few hard grains which I didn't enjoy. The halloumi and salad were nice. The creme brulee was disappointing though. The brulee wasn't done long enough so that it was quite grainy. The creme itself had an interesting flavour but the texture wasn't very smooth.
Overall it was quite a nice place for food. The staff were all quite friendly and professional.

β β β β β Stopped by this restaurant during our trip in Hawke's Bay. The food was delicious and good quality. The wines served are mainly from the winery Linden and their Bordouex blend was really good. Will recommend this place to others if you are willing to spend money on good drinks and food. The environment was good too, with seats overlooking the wineyards.

β β β β β Amazing food, I had the lamb rump and my wife the salmon brilliant also really good portion sizes, no photo food where it looks like art, but you go to Maca's straight after because you are still hungry. Also great service nice friendly waitress, and Linden Estate wine top notch. Will be going there again. -- 10 out of 10. P.S the Vanilla cheese cake is to die for.

β β β β β Beautiful restaurant with a lovely outdoor ambiance. Our waitress was friendly and attentive with an outgoing personality. I liked the Chef's interaction, delivering meals to the tables for that personalized service. Would definitely go back
