★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just really small critiques. Food was great had the bruschetta to share which was really good. I had the Venuti special pizza. Definitely no complaints. Base was crispy. Toppings were perfect. My companion had the spaghetti marinara. Sauce to pasta ratio was a bit off plus the spaghetti was slightly overcooked. But asked the chef for some bread to mop up the sauce so happy happy. Tiramisu was awesome. Affogato with frangelico for me... coffee was really doing it for me. ?. Can truly say one of he best Italian meals I've had in Christchurch. Keep up the good work guys ?

The first time was really good, I'd say a 4/5, but I'm not sure what has happened in the past couple of months because our food was very average the other night.
We went for the Calimari as a starter and it was ok. No wow factor, no dipping sauces.
We then ordered 2 x mains (at around $36 each), and they were both very average. My partner had the lamb. It was well cooked, but apart from that,nothing was special about the dish at all.
I had the fish which I found to be such a boring and bland dish. $36 for salad from a bag, no dressing, no sauce with the fish, just a few fried onions on top. Also, I've seen bigger goldfish than the fish that was served on plate...
There was no love in this food at all so I was extremely disappointed to say the least.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had amazing service, a beautiful dinner and great wine. We couldn’t recommend it more especially the limoncello on the house as we left! It’s the perfect place for a meal just before a show.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service staff were lovely but four patrons walked into the restaurant unmasked at peak time and proceeded to hug both front of house and kitchen staff, before being seated. At the height of a Covid outbreak this could have been handled differently. The safety of their clientele was clearly not a priority.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Made the mistake of choosing this restaurant based on reviews. Nice waitresses however struggled to pour water into our glasses without spilling it on the table. Didn't clean up. Nice wine but no ice bucket offered to keep it cool. No Veal on offer, so that depleted the menu somewhat. Orderd the Mussels. Great sauce but poor wee Mussels were totally over cooked to the point where they were competing with Raisins for size. Sent them back. Waited another 45 minutes for our no show mains. Paid for our wine and left. What a sad waste of time.
