★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Selfish and abusive staff, they will pretend to care until times up and you pay the check. Never recommend to anyone who actually wants psychological help, 'Dr.' Rob Shieff and his stooges will make you more suicidal so you will make a second appointment!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute waste of time and money, i don’t even care about the actual money just the fact that u think you paying the big money to get the best and after months of treatment realise you actually scarred your severely depressed young adult child even more with the absolute lack of interest and care all round in that practice. Just really sad and very sure at some stage this would have been one of the top Drs out there. You’ve dropped the ball guys get back to the drawing board cause when u fail you it’s serious. You are literally playing with peoples lives here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to Dr Goodwin regularly for 3 years. It has been a long time since I left his practice and I am still recovering from what he did to me. I sound like a victim because I feel I was one. When I walked in his door the first time I was vulnerable, suffering from severe depression and anxiety due to overwork and a succession of devastating life events. I had my own business, home etc but wasn’t coping well with my inconsistent and intense moods. My GP sent me to Dr Goodwin for a second opinion on her suspicion of Bipolar II. But he medicated me with Lithium straight away, without rigorous investigation and I suddenly lost the plot and wasn’t able to work or function normally. After 6 months he took me off Lithium because I was hopelessly depressed and emotionally paralysed. He gave me antidepressants and sedatives. He insisted on becoming my primary health provider and began controlling me. During the 3 years I went to him the medications changed a few times and the psychotherapy became very intrusive and disturbing, causing my mental health to deteriorate profoundly. I ended up being so ill that I lost my business, my home, my friends and even my family. I became suicidal and realised that if I didn’t extricate myself from his management I would die. This happened several years ago but I’m still recovering from that breakdown and dreadful experience. Hopefully he has improved in his practice. The truth is I would never trust a psychiatrist again and I would caution others to realise and understand that the mind is a precious and fragile thing that needs to be managed from within. Don’t give your power away to a doctor unless there is no other choice.
Peace of mind can be achieved through a balance of nutrition & supplements, exercise and spiritual practice. We are body, mind & spirit and we need to be mindful of all three areas of our lives in order to be able to manage life events and to be well and happy.
