★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys were so amazingly helpful and compassionate at a very traumatic time and they made a life and death difference. My girl went in really really sick and thanks to them she came home. You couldn't put your family member in better hands. (Oh and get pet insurance!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TPLO surgery for our 2 year old mastif x dog. He is a monster and they handled him with lots of love. Always helpful when we call and you can tell they are really trying to understand your questions before they give an answer. I wish they worked on humans too. Grateful for all your hard work!!!!! Thank you for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We rescued a wobbly young gull from the perils of the road and were able to take JL Seagull to this vets within minutes after the initial phone call. He didn't enjoy his ride there unfortunately (probably a Ford fan) but he was welcomed with open wings and great care from VSG in Mt Wellington.
Followed up with them after a day and he was well enough to be taken to a sanctuary to fully recover. Superb service indeed, thank you so much :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a terrible experience. In a crisis they asked for my credit card and $1,000 BEFORE the vet would see my dog who was having a seizure. Wish I had reported it to the Vet Council. Very expensive. Ludicrous situation where you can't get ease of continuity of care because two separate businesses involved. Have heard similar stories. We drive out of area to the Animal Referral Centre in Albany. They have never done that. Super welcoming and accommodating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just going to say a massive thanks to Dr Dani for taking amazing care of our Polly who had a gastro emergency during Boxing Day! She kept us informed and definitely made me feel at ease, frequently called throughout the two day stay during investigations, surgery and recovery. Polly has finally come home from her regular Vet after a day and so far so good, she is very alert, very cuddly and is slowly gaining back her appetite!
If your pet has an unexpected issue after hours or during weekends/public holidays, I would recommend bringing them here because the staff seems to be really professional and obviously very skilled at what they do.
