★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The setting of these lodges is absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful I've been to and I would love to return. People looking to stay should keep in mind that currently, internet is very limited, but it can be a good thing being forced to disconnect for a while, especially for a millennial like me!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in a one bedroom cottage. Simple and clean. Lovely views. Would stay there again. Very peaceful and quiet with two caveats.....
No silence until your neighbours have decided to cease using their toilet of a night. I can only guess that some kind of macerator kicks off when they use the loo. When you're in such a potentially silent environment, it's a shame that this disturbs your peace.
You're in the middle of nowhere. Time to marvel at the billions of stars in the Inky black night sky. No. The guy in the house next door has his outside light on all night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for a tranquil, nice accommodation in the catlins, go ahead and make a booking. Interior is plain, but quite nice and clean with a lot of kitchen equiptment. However, you will surely come here to have some quiet time and a great view. We enjoyed 2 wonderfully sunrises and plenty of opportunity for stargazing at night.
