★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have given this place two stars as it was clean and tidy. They cannot get a smaller sink into the bathroom. One is able to achieve the desired temperature in the room. Which is brilliant.
The rest is worse as the Inn-keeper seems to have knowingly swindled me out of $100. I am letting it go and feel actually hurt at the realisation of the nature of some people. How silly, you may ask. Daft and stupid of me and yet another life lesson.
I paid the rate for one night in cash then noted my credit card had also been charged by Booking.com, through who I had done the reservation. When I made enquires, the Inn people sought proof of my claim. They had me by the “short and curlies”!!!! In my haste and given the overall conviviality, I had not sought a receipt. Juvenile oversight.
So, good lesson for me. Other travellers ? be warned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can't recommend the Waiouru Welcome Inn enough these guys are totally awesome, have stayed here multiple times over the years, have always felt welcome, complementary drinks. Recently stayed the night had an unfortunate event requiring going to hospital, Sharon was so accommodating totally blown away by the service we received, good place to stay, very clean rooms, look at this amazing view couldn't ask for anything else!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked through Booking .com due to not been able to access internet for direct ph numbers. Lovely gentleman greeted me and gave us a beer, cider oh and milk for cuppa. Also some hints on fixing a leak on our caravan. Warm room, great shower, just wish all Moteliers would sit on the furniture to see how comfortable it is. Sorry the 2 seater sofa bed is terrible very low and uncomfortable to sit in to try and relax after a big travelling day. We will return hopefully when the snow is around for another visit ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our hosts Sharon and Gary were lovely. We had vehicle problems and were stuck. They made our stay. Our room was clean and tidy, good shower, air con, kitchenette ( with utensils etc), comfy bed, sky tv, a Oasis in the desert :). Even a complimentary glass of wine, would definitely come and stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We called in on the off chance of a room which was not a problem. Super friendly reception. We were given a nice unit comfortable bed. The price was very reasonable I would go as far as saying to cheap for what is on offer. Would definitely stay again.
