★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Nana lives here and our visit happened to be on the day of the power cuts. I was really impressed with the way facility had people running around checking on everyone and offering help/support.
We came across a lovely man called Barry who was calm and helpful in such a chaotic situation. Really appreciated Nana being looked after so well. Thanks! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome place for the retired. I have visited my aunt there and she loves it. Great community feel with a cafe.pool.gymn and much more for them to do. Jigsaw puzzles scattered around to do and all the folk seem to know each other.my aunt loves it there

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ive been coming and going for 10 years to visit my nana and the staff have always been so kind , the restaurant always clean and good food and over All a lovely environment. My nana passed away suddenly a few weeks ago now but I just want to say they made the process as easy as it could possibly be and on behalf of my family and I thank you so so much ? ill miss this place truly ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very clean and nice atmosphere. cafe not so great. scones hard and crumbly, 1 slither of butter for a large scone. seating not easy to ease into. maybe too many tables too close together.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had lunch at the cafe today with my Mum. We had the Big Breakfast which was nice but sadly the sausages were so tiny, smaller than cocktail sausages. Not really a big breakfast kinda sausage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The facilities are wonderful at Waitakere Gardens.
BUT if you MUST do aerobics for entertainment of your residents during Level 4 , can you tell the person with the megaphone duties to have a cup of tea and calm down before letting her outside?
It would be nice if she wasn't screeching at every resident in the street to RISE AND SHINE on a Tuesday morning and blasting Grease Lightning right outside our apartment, - some of us work night shifts and don't need to be woken up by the dulcet tones of a banshee in a pink jacket performing a choreographed routine in the middle of the street.
