★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible campsite - swarms of mosquitos, very poor facilities, and way too overpriced ($20 per person for an unpowered site). The kitchen and bathrooms are disgusting. No cell phone service in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed the night here after visiting Cape Reinga. It's the northern-most camp ground in New Zealand, only 20km from the Cape. We charged our electric cars overnight for the return trip southward to Kaitaia. They have many 16amp Blue Commando power points for EVs and caravans. There is a cafe on-site and you can buy a pie and drink and basic supplies at the petrol station next door.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend of mine is doing a fundraising for mental health around New Zealand and it's gonna take 18 months he started from the Cape and arrived at this place only to be turned down for Mr Miller to pitch his tent up not that there were campers at the site it was completely empty to comment I had to give a rating not even 1 I would recommend this place oh and he will be on the radio he's such a humble man I personally hope he name and shame this place or yous need to get someone else manage the camp site

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I had reservations to stay here in 2 cabins for 3 nights and arrived only to find it closed early for the season with no email notification and no other warning. The lovely young women who were working there apologized and found us another place to stay in a private vacation rental a few miles away. Otherwise we could have been completely out of luck. Thanks for the good customer service, but I can't recommend the holiday park.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely disgusting place!!! They want $2 for 5 minutes of shower. What? That´s the most expensive campsite I´ve ever been to in my life. But that is not the end. The shower is in reality just for 3 minutes!!! They lie in your face. They ROB people and they think it´s just fine? You can´t even find anybody if you want to complaint because there is nobody there.
DO NOT GO there guys!!! Better stay in the DOC campsite at Spirits Bay. That is a lovely place to stay overnight.

It's the last Convenience store, takeaways, restaurant, bottle store and Petrol station and lodgings in the Far North before you journey to Cape Reinga to the left or venture right to the very last settlement called Te Hapua. It has to adjust to the isolated location and accommodates to the needs of locals and tourists. Compliments to the local people who work there tirelessly ?
