About Waiuku Village Butcher
Waiuku Village Butchery is a small family business and it has been that way since 1913. Currently owned by Lesley who started in the butchery industry in 2000, she is supported by Phil her husband and their two young boys.
The family is very proud of Waiuku and support many clubs and events throughout the year. Currently the butchery employs an apprentice, a full-time butcher and a part time customer assistant who all live locally in Waiuku.
Together the team pride themselves on the quality of all product, especially the homemade goods which are made in the shop like Bacon, Sausages, Salami, Beef Jerky, Black pudding and Ham.
Additional to the retail butchery Waiuku Village butcher is a specialist in Home-kill.

β β β β β Spent $70ish on meat here and mostly happy with the quality all the beef and chicken products have been delicious. The lamb shanks I purchased were definitely nearing the end of their life, when I sniffed the meat after opening the packet (defrosted) I nearly puked violently. I'm pretty sensitive to older meat but my partner wouldn't go near it either and she's not fussy. The reason I give 5 stars is there is great customer service and the worker/owner offered me an immediate refund and didn't question it. They have a good selection of non-organic meat.
