★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Utterly awful - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! We stayed at DragonFly Cottage with "Wanaka Selection". Cheap repairs to holes in wall above bed(!?), couch with holes in it, broken glass in dishwasher, broken handle on drawer, STAINED duvet (yuck), hair and chocolate on floor. Broken window clasps (I had to use newspaper to get a seal or we would have been icy cold), blocked shower drain. Got a refund on cleaning but this was beyond the pale. Also NOT child safe - massive cords on the blinds are a strangulation hazard to toddlers. Woman in reception at "Wanaka Selection" was rude and wouldn't listen. Total low point of our trip. Consider yourself warned. Do NOT stay with Wanaka Selection! Check out the pictures and imagine how we felt..... :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed at Pembroke Lodge. Much better than we expected. Wayne and his team were helpful and efficient. The location is great , walk into town or to the lake for a swim each morning. Linen was crisp and clean and there was everything we needed. Will definitely book again
