Serving up the best hot chocolate in town. A choice of milk (dairy, soy or coconut) and an option for vegans too. Also sell vegan choc chip cookies and s'mores. All their chocolate bars are made in this factory space.

This is the only place I know that serves hot chocolate with coconut milk as a non-dairy option ? If you like coconutty chocolate then go for it, otherwise go for other milks for a stronger chocolate taste. I liked this a lot ? And order a brownie if you’re in the mood for a chocolate overload (give me that anytime!) Also as a chocolate factory, you can see - and smell - the chocolate production day in and out, even when you’re standing outside before opening the doors. It’s absolutely heavenly? You can also buy their own special bars of chocolate made there in a variety of flavours in pretty packaging ideal as gifts for your chocolate-lover friends ? it’s probably more ‘boutique’ than the conventional favourite Whittakers . Unfortunately the tours were closed when I visited on Xmas eve. It would’ve been great to go for that!

Cafe: 4 stars (Good) Tour: 2.5 stars (Neutral) Overall, the Wellington Chocolate Factory is a cool place to hang out; yummy hot chocolate (if a bit too sweet!), and plenty of games to play, but wouldn't particularly recommend their tour. I'd also like to mention that their website's reviews are not necessarily an accurate representation of people's experiences, because the reviews must be approved before being submitted. The Tour: The tour began with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate while we waited for others to arrive, followed by around 40 minutes of information about History of WCF, and information about the chocolate beans. They passed some beans and other objects around. There was some interesting information, but overall this part of the tour seemed to drag a bit long. It would have been improved by being more interactive, or if we still had our complimentary cup of hot chocolate to enjoy while we were listening. The tour itself didn't show anything you can't see from the cafe, but we got to try some of the chocolate at different stages of being made which was quite interesting. A map of where the beans came from would also have been a plus, especially in non-covid times when they would have more varieties. Our experience would have been improved if they had more varieties of beans to try, as we weren't particularly interested in the flavored chocolate. Lower-sugar options would be a nice addition, such as 90% or 100% chocolate, which I understand they sometimes do. --- In summary, worth a visit to try their hot chocolate and play some games. If you're pretty interested in chocolate but don't know too much then the tour might be worthwhile too!

Bought a five pack as a gift, included free postage and was delivered two working days later. I initially gave the wrong address which I contacted the Company directly who promptly fixed the issue straight away by telephone and email response. This type of service is rare these days. The chocolate is high end, it's not your regular chocolate, it holds multiple notes which cheaper more mass produced chocolate loses in production. The Gin one was quite superb.

We did the chocolatier tour and it was awesome! Got to pick the chocolate and toppings, a complimentary hot chocolate (amazing!), and lovely staff that are clearly passionate about their jobs. Amazing! Definitely 100% recommend!
