Wellington Top 10 Holiday Park is a family owned and operated business with loads of industry experience. We value the Kiwi 'down to earth' attitude and alongside our sense of fun, you'll see this reflected in the way we operate our park.
If you are travelling with a pet, please note that we cannot accommodate them in our rooms. We do however have pet friendly sites available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This park is not set in native bush as mentioned, its plonked near an industrial estate and they've planted some trees. The sound of the nearby main roads, airport and trains are your soundscape. My partner and I came here for a little treat (hot shower, spa etc) after a few days of DOC sites (stunning sites but little facilities) we were not told the spa wasn't working before they took our money. We then went to play a game of pool and the machine ate our money. We were told the machines are not ours we can't do anything about it, i was also told that's just how life is, what do you want from us for 50 bucks?! Honestly the staff were so unhelpful and rude. To top it off three drunk fully grown men were drinking and blasting music on the CHILDRENS PLAYGROUND until well past 11pm and nobody said or did anything about it. AVOID

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the main reasons we chose to stay here was for the spa pool. Oh haha! No spa pool! The room was adequate, but you needed to turn a blind eye to the cobwebs, and if you arnt keen on your room mates "toilet noises" go outside, while they are using the loo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible. Did not meet expectations at all. Facilities shut down before they were supposed to way before and over half if the games in the game room were out of order. Staff were not helpful at all, grumpy and arguing with each other at times.
The only good thing is the cleaners do a great job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This seems to have had a revamp recently and it’s paid off, the facilities are the best I’ve seen at a campground, the bathrooms even have rain shower heads.
The only things letting the campground down are some of the camping spots in the dog friendly area are full of rubbish and the managers kids (presumably as they were running through the reception desks) are very obnoxious and were using the facilities as bumper car obstacles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always come here. Beds are lumpy but the rooms are clean and the staff are really great. Parking fantastic for both wheelchair and walkers. Ducks very friendly and disable toilets great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming here since I was 6 months old. I now thought I would take my children and they loved it. BBQ area is beautiful to sit at, so much grass for tents, staff are amazing and friendly. The upgrade over the last 28 years blew me away. Thank you again for having us .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice location surrounded by greenery, not too close from the road so pretty quiet.
Stayed a night there. Came after hour so used the emergency phone to call reception.
Check in was smooth, as they give you a code to pick up your keys and map.
Stayed in a cabin, with a comfy but singular layout. We had to ask for blankets as we didn't have ours. Amenities were really clean.
Kitchen was immaculate at 8pm.
Showers and toilets are also super clean.
Ducks will welcome you as you stroll around, but they are not too inquisitive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was advised it's rundown and very very expansive, but to my surprise it's all clean, good spacious powered sites and we'll maintained. ... The price?, I have seen more expansive top 10's , but good price for what you get. A great gateway to the ferry, a day in windy welly, but not a place full of natural wonders,,, however plenty of green arround once you are on the park... And therefore not a bad city stay.... January 2022, not busy, would it be the other bad reviews? Or just the covid.... We had a great stay.
