β β β β β Surf life savers sat in vehicle on beach talking and looking at phones. When told there was a rip with strong undertow between the flags they shrugged off the information and went back to their phones.
Both looked to be in mid teens.
We were at the beach for 4 hours and not once did either of them get near the water, the flags weren't moved even though there was an obvious rip moving up the beach.
