★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small park. Friendly welcome on arrival, helpfull people. Decent size RV spots. We were placed next to the bbq area, wouldn't recommend, especially when people decide to have their dinner at 9pm... There was a nice trampoline and a little playground for our 3yo. She liked the Fussball table. All amenities were available (kitchen, laundry, showers and toilets). The showers were fine, but the temperature dial was difficult to set on the right temperature. Toilets were clean. One thing a couldn't understand was: that the rules said there were absolutely no pets allowed on the park, but there were several dogs when we stayed there. Did the rules change or are dogs not considered pets anymore? Overall a fine stay. Wouldn’t recommend walking to the Town Basin, because its along a busy road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice tidy camp. Quite small. Friendly hosts and good facilities. Reasonable distance to town center, 3 minutes by car, maybe 20 on foot. Good walking/biking tracks from the camp

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This camping ground was a huge surprise to us. Small and quiet backing on to a bush reserve, yet very handy to town. Great facilities and ablution block was absolutely fabulous. Clearly the best we have experienced.

My daughter and I came for one night to celebrate my nieces bday. The owners, Claire and Nick are so lovely and kind. Our cabin was very cute, had all the essentials, clean linen, very warm and sound proof from outside, very comfy beds and immaculately clean room. The kitchen, bathroom area are always so clean and shower had amazing water pressure. The extra touches with a games room and the tv room are very unique.
Cannot wait to come and stay again. Highly recommended. Thank you for having us Whangarei Top 10 Holiday park

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sadly not the stay we were hoping for.
Kate on reception is very warm and friendly. The grounds are set in lovely bush and the facilities well maintained and clean. However we packed up and left and found a side street to sleep. A number of teens between 8-10 in number staying at the park were running around the park between pitches, the toilet /shower block and around the back and side of our van screaming and chasing each other all evening. At 10.00pm we had enough as they we over heard them as they were by the back door of our van planning to start a fight, at which point I did ask them to move on thinking they might have thought our van was unoccupied. Concern an accident was going to happen from running through the hook up cables. We called the emergency number, which someone did come up but this didn’t deter the group they continued after the person left only shouting “shh shh” every five minutes. The pitch next door also played their music loudly till after 11pm and shouted their conversation over the top of the music. We packed up and left as we didn’t feel a rest full night was going to happen.
Can’t choose your fellow campers sadly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely loved our stay here. Wifi & Speed was amazing. Clean & awesome facilities. Awesome activities rain or shine. My kids enjoyed exploring the bush trail it backs onto. Claire is so lovely, welcoming and informative. Thank you for sharing with us some history of the town (those things you can only learn from locals ?) We were so fortunate to be given two spaces for our time here as it was vacant the two nights we stayed made parking easy. My kids ended up minding an adorable 4 year a couple times... we kept finding the poor wee guy wondering on his own. Parents, caregivers please be mindful no 4 year old should be off on their own especially with the cars in and out. Everyone was lovely so he had eyes watching him but its not up to them to keep him safe or my son to take him to the toilet. Thank you Whangarei Top10 holiday park we will be back ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good reception, info given on the park and local areas. We stayed in a two bedroom self contained unit with veranda. Park is adjacent to some nice bush walks.
Car parking was easy and there was a concrete path from car to unit.
Park facilities appeared clean and fresh.
Unit had all the necessities. Beds were comfy.
Just a couple of wee downsides. No extractor fan in the bathroom. The park could do with a wee bit of beautification, gardens, plants, re-sowing lawn etc.

From the moment we arrived. We were welcomed by Claire an exceptional, friendly owner. Then later we met her husband and staff who never faulted with their impeccable service.
Clean and tidy facilities. Pet friendly a massive plus as we travelled with our 2 fur babies.
We stayed for 7 days. Our daughter and granddaughter stayed overnight (their first time doing this) and thoroughly enjoyed their experience here in their cabin.
We have nothing but praise for Claire and her team. We are definitely coming back.
We are also Top 10 Holiday Park Members thank you Claire. This Holiday Park deserves a Top 10 star rating.
