★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a little late to the party here. Had a wonderful stay over new years. The hosts were super nice and very accommodating. They pointed us in the right direction for kai moana and were wonderful the whole time. The views are world class. Didn't really want to leave. 10 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicest campsite we’ve been to! Biggest factor on choosing where to go was whether our little dog Max could come too! Especially in high season between Christmas and New Years. Our tent space was under beautiful big trees so our tent was always cool. Stunning scenery to look out on to. Small kids playground and lots of picnic benches between campsites you can use. Clean facilities. The owners also give you a long list of attractions to explore that’s close by. Highly recommended. Only downside, take spray for sandflies. We only noticed once the kids were bitten & had to venture out for anthisan/ anti itch cream.

Service from Kathy was absolutely amazing, she booked me a kitchen cabin at very short notice, the place was clean and tidy.
Thank you for having us, we will definitely use this place again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outside kitchen was disgusting, dead spiders and other insects everywhere on the counter, the floor was dirty, looks like it has never been washed. Walls where also disgusting, specially where the BBQ was, oil and fat on the walls and floor and also the picnic table. The fridge was dirty and didn't worked properly.
Toilet was ok, although it was a bit dirty with dead spiders etc.
The camping ground was nice with the trees and nice views, you do see a factory a few kilometres away on the other side of the bay.
Host were nice, and friendly, although I had to cancelled the next few days for personal reasons, but they didn't give me a refund.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly and extremely helpful owners at this place. We were a group of 12 motorcycles who stayed a night there. I will be back, but this time with my tent, because the camping area is absolutely stunning with the sea views.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place ever for a relaxing holiday! Fantastic hosts, Trevor and Cath, who cant do enough for you. They both go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, nothing being too much trouble. Lots of fishing, with a lovely wee beach, ideal for swimming. A quaint kiwi holiday park, perfect spot for R and R. ??

You have two massive trees keeping you cool.
This has got to be the best camping spot that we’ve been to.
Facilities great.
Owners fantastic!!! They went out of their way to help. Good people.

Take a bit of extra spray for the sand flies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The sites along the edge of the water and under a canopy of trees are so beautiful. We were in a rooftop tent so we could see over the hedges very easily (the other side doesn't have tall hedges), we had beautiful uninterrupted views of the water. So peaceful and serene here we decided to extend one more night. Love how it's dog friendly too. Great spots for fishing even without a boat/kayak, unfortunately we didn't catch any snappers big enough to keep so we will be coming back again!
