Whatawhata School is a small rural school west of Hamilton in New Zealand. Our focus on student learning helps us achieve our beliefs, helping students to grow, to achieve and to care.

We Are Whatawhata School. We are a small rural full primary school just to the West of Hamilton City and at the heart of the Whatawhata Community. Our Vision is To Care, To Grow, To Achieve. We look to develop the whole child, empowering them to succeed in learning and life .
Our school curriculum is built around this vision, where we support children to enjoy learning the knowledge, skills, principles and values that help them to meet the different challenges and opportunities life brings.
Our curriculum teaches all our children both learning and life skills. Staff are committed to providing the best education for all our learners. Our size and focus on learning means we are able to develop an in-depth knowledge of their interests, strengths and needs which allows us to shape programmes accordingly.
Children develop into community members who ensure that, young and old, we all care for, support and value each other. We enjoy close relationships with our families, whaanau and the wider community.
We are committed to valuing and maintaining the unique opportunities and values of small and rural school learning.
We warmly welcome new students and family's to our school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visitor to the school for sports today. Gate by sports field was locked and everyone was climbing over railings. Rang school office to be told that wasn't the only entrance. Point is the gate should have been opened for easy access especially for the older visitors. Is it so hard to open it????? Hence the rating. I myself can't climb or walk the distance to next entry
