★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's little to see on the hill, but if you're in Waimate, you have time to kill. There are a few bush walks to trek in the area, but the White Horse Monument is worth a look too.
It's a simple monument, but the view alone is worth the trip. If you're into hiking, there's plenty of terrain to cover. However, don't try to hang glide off the hill!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When visiting Waimate it's worth a trip up to the white horse monument. Great views of the surrounding district and plenty of walking tracks in the area. You can drive up there also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ U probably would need a jacket as it could be windy and cool. Have to drive a bouncy gravel road for which would preferably suit an SUV. But, still u can travel by a car. But ur car would not like it. Public toilet is available. Not much parking slots available might be not much ppl visiting as a whole. There is a nice view. A walk track (1km) is there but I doubt whether is it worth walking the track.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a pleasant surprise! Even if you have been there a few years ago, it has all changed for the better. Several newly constructed viewing platforms, public toilets and picnic table. Most beautiful views of Waimate, the ocean and the surrounding mountain ranges. Well done Waimate ?
